Coriander Living Collective’s vision is “life well lived” and our mission is “Encouraging life satisfaction through connection to self, others, and the world by embracing one’s humanity and lifestyle with insight, intention, and action through psychotherapy & counseling, workshops & retreats, and collective growth practices.”

To define a life well lived, highlight local businesses, and inspire local community members to be active participants in their wellbeing and life satisfaction, we have invited local business owners to write guest blog posts and will run a series on “Defining: A Life Well Lived.”

OWNER OF CORIANDER LIVING COLLECTIVE, Cori Hildebrandt, MA, LPC WI, LPCC MN:

1.    How do you define a life well lived?

“I think about when your life is all said and done, a life well lived is one that you can feel content with, that had its ups and downs, and you know you navigated them as best you could. You have an overall sense of satisfaction, that your life was good enough. That you made choices in line with your values. That you were intentional and aware. Our culture tries to sell people on the idea of endless joy, mind blowing accomplishment, and that isn’t realistic, and can be paralyzing or damaging for some folks to chase.”

2.    How does your business/what you do support your wellbeing/mental health/life well lived?

“Being in this line of work, provides me a sense of meaning and purpose, and offers me lifestyle flexibility and freedom. It keeps me connected to my humanity and the humanity of others. Life is the whole damn show, all the pain and suffering, all the pleasure and joy, and all the moments in-between.”

 3.    How can your business support the wellbeing/mental health of others? Or support community members in building a life well lived?

“Coriander Living Collective offers psychotherapy and counseling, certified EMDR and BRAINSPOTTING, and workshops and retreats. We work with clients using a 3-prong approach of looking at the present for what is working or not, to the future for hopes and goals, and at the past to see what gets in the way so we can resolve and heal it. We cultivate awareness and connection, build choicemakers, and encourage action.”
