It’s common that I have clients show up for therapy with stress related concerns. Often these folks feel overwhelmed with all their daily responsibilities, and they come to therapy for “tools, coping skills, or strategies” so that they can manage the same number of things, but better!

Sometimes this leads to tough conversations about having limited time, resources, and energy, and having to prioritize and eliminate tasks.

Sometimes this leads to learning tools, skills, and brainstorming strategies. One strategy that I have found myself speaking on lately is how can we meet multiple needs with one activity?

For example, Dr. Daniel Siegel and Dr. David Rock talk about The Healthy Mind Platter, they identified the seven daily mental activities for optimal health. They talk about focus time, playtime, connecting time, physical time, time in, downtime, and sleep. So, for a busy person, how can you get 2-for-1 of your needs met with the same time block?

Lucky for you, Coriander Living Collective is hosting a few upcoming events that will allow you 2-for-1 Mental Well-Being! Checkout for this Sunday, 9/19/21 the GROUP HIKE TO CONNECT think (physical time + connecting time) or the MOVING MEDITATION + BEER FLIGHT TASTING on Saturday, 10/2/21 offering (physical time + time in + connecting time)! We all like a good deal!
