9 Wellness Benefits of Open Floor Movement Practice!

Research supports the benefits of exercise, community connection, spirituality, and mindfulness practices. You could go for a run, go to church, grab a coffee with a friend, and then sit in meditation. OR you could try an Open Floor class which combines all these benefits into one experience!

As humans, we have been moving together for ions. Our bodies respond to connection, music, movement, and nature.

Join me for Open Floor Moving Meditation + Patio Wine Socials at Forestville Vines on Sunday, June 2, 2024 and July 7, 2024 from 11am-1pm. EVERYbody is welcome! Please reach out to Coriander Living Collective with questions. Dance-on!

BEYOND TALK THERAPY: You Don’t Have to Talk About “It” to Heal “It!”

Talk therapy absolutely can be beneficial and uses our higher thinking brains. Yet as some point, talk therapy is limited because it is not able to access the lower parts of the brain where we hold stress and trauma responses. Talk therapy alone is often not enough to heal human issues.

In my practice, I offer three types of intervention that are able to access the lower brainstem and middle emotional brain to metabolize stressor and trauma responses: 1) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), 2) Brainspotting, and 3) free-form dance movement.

Part of Living and Loving is Losing and Grieving

It is not always easy to welcome the passing of time because there are things that are so precious, so sweet, that we want to hold onto them forever…Loss, sickness, death, and dying have been swirling around my life and the lives of my family, friends, and clients lately. I notice a sadness that is resting on the top of heart. The awareness that the love is what creates the ache.

How to Be Steady in an Unsteady World

Life is constantly happening in and around us. Certain things we welcome wholeheartedly and other things we resist. One of the great skills of life is learning how to remain steady in an unsteady world. I believe our three greatest resources in this pursuit are 1) body-based movement, 2) nature, and 3) community.

In partnership with Inspiring Actions in River Falls, I’ll be facilitating the workshop How to Be Steady in an Unsteady World on Sunday, April 11th, 2021.
